As we prepare for this summer, let’s dust off not just our coolers and bathing suits, but photographs from summers past. Revisit a version of yourself from a summer long gone, yet long loved.
A printed photograph endures. It waits patiently in boxes and tucked away in albums. Its meaning grows each year as it waits to reemerge.
For our next community gallery, we are curating older family film photographs that capture that summer feeling and all it evokes. The places, the people, the context. We're especially curious about pictures taken during the aughts and earlier.
With each submission, we ask that you also share a little about the story behind the photo. Displayed together, these images and reflections will help capture that indescribable thing that makes summer so special. Check out our example here. Selected images will be on display in our gallery from June to July 2026.
