Reception Friday, April 10th from 7-9pm

Common Ground features the work of Mark Ludak and Matthew Ludak, a father and son, who have each built their own careers and distinct styles in documentary photography.
This show explores how similar themes intersect and diverge. As father and son, influence is inherited, absorbed, and passed down. But as artists, their work challenges and informs the work of the other.
Mark began photographing professionally in the 1980s, often traveling internationally. Matthew, working in the present day, focuses his lens within the United States. Despite these differences in geography and era, both artists center their work on social, political, and environmental concerns.
This exhibit celebrates the harmony of their work; how their photographs form a cohesive visual style and social commentary across time and mediums. Curated to blur the lines of authorship, it invites viewers to trace subtle stylistic elements that both distinguish and connect Mark and Matthew’s work.
Join us for a reception on Friday, April 10th from 7-9pm at 130 S 17th St to enjoy an evening of wine, refreshments, music, and to meet the photographers. This event is free and open to the public.
