"Lazybones is the story of Moss Henry, who after a devastating breakup, searches for a sense of purpose by volunteering as a dummy for a women's self-defense class.

The film explores loneliness, communication, and the dissonance between who we are and who we hope to become. Moss’s journey, from broken connection to unexpected purpose, taps into a deeper question of identity: how well do we really know ourselves?

My therapist has a great analogy about how the process of looking inward is like opening a cabinet full of Tupperware — often we rush to close the door before all the plastic comes tumbling out onto the kitchen floor. But letting those things fall and taking the time to face the mess is the only real way we can understand what’s inside.

Our aim with Lazybones was to put the thrill (and perhaps the terror) of these discoveries on screen."  - Douglas Williams
