What We Liked: With such a popular submission week, it was difficult to choose from so many amazing pictures. However, this one stood out, given the rarity of both the subject and camera moving in unison to capture a clear subject and dynamic, textured background. With these elements, we can feel that we are taking a journey with this street bike rider. It really gives the viewer an understanding of “right place at the right time,” in regard to street photography.
A daring sense of excitement shows through, as we move with the person on the bike. You can also tell immediately this is Philly, an aspect we love, despite the blurred background. Such a recognizable street and city, one can imagine what it’s like to be driving down broad street on an early summer evening.
