What We Liked: The vanity, missing a drawer and a couple bulbs, sits abandoned on the street. A mirror that once served as a tool for beauty now reflects an untouched landscape, framed by man-made structures and waste. The contrasts invite viewer to reconsider how human presence alters and inhabits space. One wouldn’t really expect that across from these cinderblocks and half-dead foliage would be lush trees, mountains and flowing water. By highlighting both deterioration and resilience within a single frame, the image invites a deeper consideration of permanence.
