What We Liked: Fruit has found its way into art for centuries. Classically, it has served as a celebration of a theme, metaphor, or simply composition. Here, the fruit adds eye-catching color that is complimented by the woman’s red cardigan. She organically blends into the scene and grounds our focus amidst the produce and jars. And if one wishes to consider that fruit traditionally symbolizes youth and vitality, it provides the photograph with a meaningful undertone. (Plus, there’s a framed picture of oranges on the upper left, so double points there!)
