Graphic for photography exhibition

Photography Exhibition at the PL130 Gallery at PhotoLounge
October 10 - November 12, 2022
Open House/Reception November 4th from 6-9pm

PhotoLounge is always on the lookout for photographers who take an intentional approach to their photography, telling stories through the images they create. Our special artist feature called Member Moments, posted on our Film Blog, is a place where we share work from these dedicated photographers and speak with them about their processes. These Member Moments have become a collection filled with inspiring interviews and beautiful photographs that show each photographer’s point of view.

Projected Exposures, is a photography show by PL130 Gallery at PhotoLounge that highlights thirteen of these Member Moments. The show is arranged in a group critique format intended for viewers to deeply examine each photographer's work in printed form. The show also invites viewers to dive deeper into the work by reading the full interviews with each artist and then provide their own feedback and reactions. The goal of Projected Exposures is not only to encourage the exhibiting photographer’s, but also to help viewers develop their own critical eye.

Featured Artists: CJ Arayata, Jenni Berrios, Joey Breeding, Mario Cabral, Samantha Choy, Sarah Graff, Dan Hureira, Jack McCaul, Muted, Adam Peditto, Frankie Piccone, Jaedyn Taylor, and Ethan Wu.

The PL130 Gallery at PhotoLounge opened in 2021 with a mission to raise the voices of a diverse photo community and to show important new work by emerging photographers. For the sake of equity, the gallery eschewed any costs associated with entering or exhibiting shows. Rather, costs are sponsored entirely by an active Film Photography Club where members pay $8 in monthly dues to support art. All work is hung unframed and printed by PhotoLounge on museum quality substrates.
