PL: What got you interested in photography?
TB: I've always romanticized everyday life in my mind as stills so it just felt natural.
PL: What type of camera do you shoot with?
TB: Canon Rebel G
PL: When taking pictures, what are some objects or elements or feelings within a scene that inspire you to take a photo?
TB: Simplicity, organic happenings.
PL: Of the pictures you submitted, can you share an interesting story about one?
TB: Most of the time, there isn't really a story behind them, they just were nice scenes I noticed. For the photo of the girl drinking a float, that is actually my roommate, Audrey, and we just decided to go have a roommate's breakfast at Comfort & Floyd. We saw that there were floats as a special and we each ordered one at 10am as a treat.
PL: What do you enjoy most about film and/or digital photography and what is challenging about it?
TB: Film has taught me to be more discriminating when it comes to taking my photos. I may line up scenes in the frame but I don't always pull the trigger. This practice has also helped me keep my eyes open and be more vigilant when I'm out with my camera.
PL: Do you have any goals about how you want to grow this collection of photographs?
TB: Maybe just develop a bit more of a cohesive group.
