PL: What got you interested in photography?
EH: Since I’ve been in high school I’ve always tried out different cameras. I started with a Polaroid and would take photos of my friends and print them out,I then moved over to a better digital camera, and once I learned about film photography I knew I had to test it out and I fell in love.

PL: What type of camera do you shoot with?

PL: When taking pictures, what are some objects or elements or feelings within a scene that inspire you to take a photo?
EH: I love catching people within their raw emotions. You’ll see that I have a lot of photos of friends and families. I like the feeling of catching people being their most authentic selves. I think that’s what I’m really drawn to when taking photos.

PL: Of the pictures you submitted, can you share an interesting story about one?
EH: A picture that always stands out to me is the picture of my sister and nephew on the beach. I remember this day that my nephew was pretty fussy and cranky and it was one of those tough days. Once he got into my sister’s arms and was embraced in a hug he was really able to calm down and become visibly relaxed. I loved that I was able to capture that moment.

PL: What do you enjoy most about digital/film photography and what is challenging about it?

PL: Do you have any goals or ideas of how you want to grow this collection of photographs?
