Digitizing Technicians: PhotoLounge is a premier regional provider for families and organizations with complex archives of various print formats, slides, negatives, videos and home movies. Independent technicians who work on site in our lab under our supervision and training are the backbone of this mission driven service that is also a big part of our business offering. As a digitizing technician, you’ll be working to scan one project at a time, getting to know in depth the job that you’re working on. Your schedule can be flexible, working during business hours at PhotoLounge to meet deadlines. Compensation is set per project. You’ll need to have familiarity with the use of scanners as well as editing images on Photoshop. And you need to be naturally organized and methodical. You’ll receive substantial training on the use of our equipment and systems, and you’ll work under an experienced manager.
Shopify Developer/Integration: At PhotoLounge, customers use the website to order services while at the store (i.e scanning a QR code to start ordering film using their phones), or from anywhere else. We’re always working to make our services intuitive, fast, and more connected to the greater customer journey. We use native Shopify functionality as well as apps, and we integrate Shopify with Dropbox (where customers receive their digital files from orders), to achieve the right flow by improving the architecture. If you can help us with integration between Shopify and other services we should talk. Ideally, you work for an agency or as a freelancer focusing on Shopify specifically.
Courier/On-the-Road Customer Service: PhotoLounge is a local business that can help customers regionally through orders-by-mail and also because we offer free pick up and delivery with our own courier. If you’re super friendly and have a reliable car, would you be interested in committing up to 2 days each week to pick up and return orders? The delivery area includes Philly and parts of Montgomery county, PA. As needed, we schedule a longer as far as Lancaster or central NJ for special deliveries. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus $0.67 per mile driven during the route. As part of the team, you’ll also be eligible for free processing and printing services from our lab.
Commercial Photo Lab Technicians: At PhotoLonge, we run film, printing, and digitizing labs, and we’re always excited to meet people with direct experience. If you worked at a photo lab and think you want to get back into it, please let us know. Even if we don’t have an immediate opening, we’d be excited to meet and consider opportunities. Content Creators: PhotoLounge has a small in-house marketing team that is always dreaming up new features for online, in-store, and social media experiences. We’re always looking to meet creatives who can contribute with video, copy, graphic design and illustration, and physical installs in the store itself.
