What We Liked: Water is abundant and versatile; we got so many amazing, different interpretations of this theme. This photo stood out for being minimalistic yet highly dramatic. Two people, possibly a mother and child (zoom, you’ll agree), stand alone at the shoreline. They’re surrounded by beautiful textures that split the composition and provide a sense of balance. To their left, the frothy ocean water ripples with its small waves. To their right, sprawling white sand shows record of every footstep and vehicle that recently disturbed it. As the pair stands dead center in the photograph, seemingly small and fragile at the meeting point of these two elements, it provokes the a feeling of awe and sonder within the viewer.
