What We Liked: Shooting in black and white is a great way to emphasize the composition and lighting of a photo. This photo struck us for its textures of the earth and how they disappear into the white fog, as though the rest of the picture hasn’t developed yet. The lone person walking, cloaked in black, adds a sense mystery to the photo. We also appreciated how the houses alternate in black and white to provide a balance.
