What We Liked: No matter the sport, sports photography tends to capture a lot of action and movement. Contrasting that expectation, this shot stood out to us for its vastness and stillness. Two lights tower over Citizen’s Bank Park (almost like they’re spectators themselves), illuminating the field agains a pitch black night. They serve as a great compositional device to center the image and ground our eyes in this very wide shot, where people are mere ants. The photo captures that exciting moment right before action, where anything is possible... maybe we hit a homer.
