From Peter N.: "My father, who was an avid photographer, took this photo of my brother in 1974 during a family trip to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. My father passed away earlier this year and I have been digitizing a selection of images from among the tens of thousands of slides he left behind."
What We Liked: We see something really magical when we look at this photo. The image and the feeling it evokes can be recognized anywhere — a kid on an adventure. Whether you grew up in Philadelphia and went to the shore, or you grew up in Kansas and played outside in a yard, or your family went on vacation together to the US Virgin Islands like Peter’s — that child-like wonder and sense of adventure runs deep.
